Beuracrates were always going to try and get NHS patients into other settings.
Where was the isolation of patients sent to care homes? Did they share this fact that isolation was required with care homes? If not why not?
As far as I can see it's the same plan across the whole western world.
The Government and NHS has been splashing around money for yonks to support “integrated working” in health and social care. At the beginning of the UK outbreak NHS leaders were lauding the cooperation with social care whose owners wanted the money for taking NHS patients eg as a step down service. The inquiry when it comes will establish what happens I guess but what seems pretty clear is that there weren’t consistent values across the NHS and social care to protect the most vulnerable.
