Central African Republic (CAR) has only three ventilators for a population of five million

Only 3% of their population are 65 and over.

They also only have 7.5% of their population who are classed as obese.

As a comparison, in Britain 18% of our population is over 65, and 27.7% are obese.

Obviously still not great for CAR with their healthcare system but Africa shouldn’t be hit too hard by SARS-CoV-2 compared to Western Countries because of a lower elderly population and far less obesity.

Yeah you have to be careful with viruses. If they fuck up or rush the human trials you could do great harm. The things they trail and test for to stop the things antivaxers complain about.

It’s a very good point that is overlooked. Most recent case of vaccines going wrong or causing mass panic that were rushed out was the Dengue fever vaccine which had problems with seronegative people.

High nose swab and a throat one,almost down pass the back of my throat,not pleasant

Most of the UK's PPE comes from abroad. And is being blocked from being exported at this time. It's time to mobilise what's left of the UK garment making industry to deliver it.
Going forward 70%+ of PPE cannot be made/manufactured abroad.
