Because it's a wishy washy lock down with a gazillion exceptions. Many think they can get away with it because they can just say they're going to the shops or it's their one exercise per day. We're still in a world where far too many think it's hype or won't affect them. If it was a full lock down with army on the streets and stricter punishments you might just find a lot more people adhering to the 'rules'.
It's not wishy washy though, it's pretty straight forward yet thousands choose to ignore it and have that 'it won't affect me' attitude.

I hope the increase in the infection rate shown as 4.3k is down to increased testing because the 24hr acceleration there is of real concern.

Very interesting that around 50% of people tested today were positive. I haven't seen such a high percentage before, it's usually around 10%.

1 exercise per day. Supermarkets. Working. B+Q and bike shops open. It's wishy washy and it sends the wrong message to the dickheads in society.

Just ran past a chip shop, heaving full of builders and site workers in high vis - all packed in the chip shop and sitting having a laugh outside on the wall whilst they stuff their faces.

Got a mate stuck in Vietnam, just read a lengthy post from him on FB about how he's now having difficulty getting basic supplies as people don't want to sell to him. They're blaming westerners for not taking it seriously, having never taken it seriously and are the reason it's still happenening. I'm guessing his remaining time could get a little grim

They should blame their Asian colleagues in China, before Europe or the States, although we have sleep walked into this.

Thanks Karen my daughter worked for some years at Leeds University Hospital as a Midwife and she complained of the same problem about bed blocking with many of her younger child bearing customers who simply preferred to stay in hospital. They knew every trick in the book to stay with alcohol and drug dependency the root cause of their lifestyle.
Dare I say it is not only the elderly who block beds.
When my wife gave birth to our first child in Jimmy's (LU Hosp) the doc complemented her on the baby's good health and said that most babies on the ward were in a poor state due to addictions.
