Two of my work colleagues have told me that both one of their kids and a few on Facebook have all applied to pick fruit. Not one of them have had a reply, they applied over a fortnight ago.

I think the figure of "no more than 50 in gatherings" that other countries use, is based on how their science/health advisers have said the infection rate can be slowed down. It's not necessarily about "stopping" the virus spreading, it's about slowing it down. So if it's slowed down enough (and the measure is enough hospital beds freely available), then 30 kids in a class will be perfectly ok. If the infections rise again, then it's time to restrict. I think it's going to be a concertina effect till vaccines are rolled out and that the above cannot be implemented without keep other restrictions in place, going out for excercise, social distancing, no massive crowds etc.

So the land owners who backed / funded Brexit get a free hand to import who they want to work on their farms etc. Makes a mockery of those who said immigration was their main concern.

Mrs Moon has just had a text to self isolate for 12 weeks, must have been working their way through the alphabet and got to W. It's what 4/6 weeks late.

We've been being very careful anyway as she had a stem cell transplant 4 years ago & we know her immune system will never be very good.
