Welcome,it is very good workout for my brain injury,it has really helped move things on so two birds one stone, sorry for the crap spelling though!

Wow, you could have fooled me, and I've been lurking on Bluemoon since last season - so have seen loads of your posts. Sorry to hear about it (won't pry and ask what it is).

May I ask you a quick question. As a former nurse, what's your take on the doorstep clapping? Take care.

It is not new but had got very lazy with the neuro physio, got into bad habits and a bit wild,it needs constant work, esp the blurting out what i am thinking bit ! love the clapping, everyone likes praise and encouragement and to know risking your life is appreciated

Sky say the tests for essential workers will be for those with symptoms
Testing and tracking has always been the key,i think we are very late on this but good news all the same
Loads of research and testing of tests going on,new science,we have learnt a lot as a country not really set up for this like germany, will stand us in good stead for future emergiences
Good point in your first paragraph kaz.
Little Matty had me fooled for a moment there that it applied to all key workers.
Ah those Tories.

Their (NYS) deaths per million is roughly 3x ours and even a 0.5% death rate would mean 325,000 deaths in the U.K.
60% immunity equates to about 200k lives. Those figures are probably very rough.

It's not a completely bonkers strategy though.Insuring against a severe 2nd wave is significant but given the number of vaccines under development it's a very costly call. If they pursue this, they are not going to come clean. I think it was a Sky journalist who asked them today in the briefing about whether they were suppressing the virus to the max and they dodged the question

Where did you hear that?

scientific advisor says expects to see these sort of numbers to be stable for about 2 weeks and should see it dropping after this.
Looking at how rest of Europe is easing restrictions, it’s likely we will follow.

Constant washing of my hands have really messed up my skin. I am developing rashes on my palms because of this. Anyone knows how long the virus can live on skin?

They didn't commit to that but that's a reasonable expectation
