I know you have good knowledge on this subject, and a lot of people respect your replies, but was the last line really necessary ?

Please think before you post.
In fairness I remember about 40 years ago just after a heart attack, problems with work and anxiety issues I was talking about my problems to a professor at MRI.
I mentioned that my wife kept saying she was worried about how to deal with our next door neighbours remarks. I ridiculed this as being tiny compared to my problems. He said if its that easy why don't you educate her. He said we all use the same quantity of worry cells for problems so her concerns were just as valid as mine.
The same professor advised me to take a ride on the bus of life rather than always trying to drive it.
Both suggestions have stayed with me and helped change my outlook on life.

In other words it was my attitude that needed to change rather than belittling other peoples worries or concerns because it will make me live longer.

Thanks for being an understanding mod..

I think there is an element of practicality about it for parents etc. Young children cannot look after themselves so grandparents are often needed whereas older children can so folk can work and leave them at home, particularly single parent households.

good point , sir.

it’s a tricky one. I still don’t understand the logic if junior school kids going into school ahead of senior school kids.

senior school kids have more important learning to do and Generally can follow social distancing rules better I would expect.

Apparently some of the logic was also that younger kids have younger parents who are therefore lower risk if they bring something home. I still personally don't think that protects the teachers though when (as many have pointed out) younger kids are else good at distancing/hygiene etc

I don't see that there is a huge problem with meeting a family member in the park (or anyone else) if social distancing is being observed. But there's an issue (as we've seen in London) that on nice days everybody turns out all at once to do it in notoriously busy/crowded parks. Especially when we're allowed to do so little else. It can get out of hand quickly. It will create more non essential journeys. The government does need to foresee these issues and address them. Common sense isn't something everyone is blessed with unfortunately and simply saying "you're thick if you don't think the guidance is clear" doesn't protect us from these so-called thick people who then become a risk to others they encounter who have genuinely no choice but to be out and carrying out essential activities.
Apparently the government has just had to correct what Raab had said by now saying it’s only ok to meet 1 member of family in park. What the fuck!?

Their daily figures are a constant mystery, regularly they just do not work out mathematically.

Yesterdays deaths were reported as 269 and the previous days total was 31,587.

So you would think that today's total would be 31,856 - but no they show it as 31,855?

This has been a regular occurrence since they commenced their Data Dashboard.

Difficult to believe anything they tell you if they can not do simple maths.

I am just about to have my cornflakes, could the government let me know how much milk I would pour onto them. I am not sure.
So true.
Those who want to be treated like children or want to treat the world and his dog like children are in a bit of a pickle.
The advice is clear;
KEEP YOUR DINSTANCE oh and WASH YOU HANDS REGULARLY AND OFTEN.

Just turned on GMB by mistake I think piers Morgan’s head is going to explode.

I think he may be mental.
I know. I used to think he was ok to watch in a morning, now he’s just turned back to what he always was when working at the Mirror, just a complete ****.

Did you hear that line about us going out now to murder our parents, talk about sensationalism. What a twat.

Just catching up on the thread this morning and wow what a depressing place this has become. At first this thread was really useful and provided me with some useful information so I could best keep my family safe.

The constant negativity from the same posters over and over, it’s so tedious at this point. This is bigger than political point scoring ffs. One guy who has been hysterical for the last week or so didn’t even bother watching the speech than predictably finds fault with almost every word once they caught up with it. Just please give it a rest. I hope this thread goes back to what it once was and all the partisan political shite can stay far away.
