I think Boris Johnson explained that the central message initially was stark: "Stay at home", but wave 1 has crashed upon us and we're picking ourselves up now and looking around. The situation has changed. Setting aside what you want, what they want is to focus a little on the economy as you can't have a lockdown indefinitely. So we go back to work with an eye on the risks and it inevitably gets more complicated.

I'm using my own judgement and carrying on as we are until I can be sure me and the missus are in no danger. Fuck the incompetent twats in charge I am not scared to remain at home and my mental strength will get us through by doing everything in my power to limit the risks

So I could meet my mam in the park but she couldn't bring my dad with her?

To turn the argument round slightly, she and your dad can go out together to exercise as previous rules (assuming they are not isolating obviously, and live in the same household), they can also go to the park for their walk (they can even drive there now). So if they now met you on your walk, and you were alone, then it doesn't appear to break the rules so long as you keep 2m apart.

I could drive the 6 hour round trip to meet either parent or my son, but I'd have to do it on separate days.

I'd love to know is going to police all this anyway, its such a muddle
