So “Stay at home - get pissed - the English will pay” is a perfectly reasonable way to sum up your argument? Do me a fucking favour.

what you mean make a point and debate it with bluemooners without the need to calling everyone xenophobic, racists , little englanders on every thread to every post you don’t like.

the point was one about financial allocation.

So from reading the last 10 pages it seems that those who support the government think the guidelines are crystal clear and anybody not understanding is a simpleton, whilst those who don’t support them think they are clear as mud.

So much the same as every other political thread.
No, I think everyone does understand them.

Some are pretending not to understand them to try and make the governments position look stupid when it simply has the effect of making the poster look stupid instead.

and that’s all fair . I think the uk government has not criticised the devolved countries response in what they have done.

I think given the vast majority of countries in Europe and the world are easing lockdown measures now I think it will be a matter of time anyway until Scotland wales and Northern Ireland follow suit . I have to say I don’t know what is happening in the Republic of Ireland and whether lockdown measures are easing there as well now, but I don’t think we are months away from a common policy
Think Scotland will be just a week behind, hopefully though they’ll use what Boris did a a guide of how not to introduce it and are using this time to plan, consult, work through the contradictions and the steps then announce in an address first which the media then report on instead of all the other and wrong way round.

Hancock now saying that Scotland have not reduced level to be alert as their R rate is higher than in England. A quick look on the govt's own website shows the North East of England has the highest R rate in the UK yet us in the North East are now subject to the less stringent rules?????
Mixed messages yet again, they've been a constant factor throughout this crisis.

You are conflating a country with a region. Whilst the North East may have the highest R rate in the UK, is it lower than Scotland as a whole. Locking down a region in a different way to the rest of the country is a different argument altogether. Can you provide a link to each regions R rate?

I never mentioned anything about racism, but now you mention little Englanders, I’d agree that sums up the attitude in that post about the English paying for Scots and Welsh staying at home and getting pissed. I see you’ve rowed back from that comment now and are making a more coherent argument so fair enough.

fair enough and even if they adopt the same plan Nicola will be crystal clear on it and give sensible answers to silly questions from the media with the response they deserve , unlike boris who thinks it’s his duty to ramble on trying to answer every stupid question and failing miserably.

Are we doing any random testing of the population to get a more accurate figure? We should have enough test kits if we're handing out 100k each day to specific groups, most of whom are already symptomatic or work in areas where they are more likely to be infected.
They’d need to be antibody tests on a random sample to see what percentage of the population have had it. The 100,000 tests per day thing is antigen testing to see who currently has it.
