Tameside Council has strongly urged all Tameside school's not to reopen, any other councils in Greater Manchester giving the same advice?
Health officials at Blackburn and Darwen Council, which runs 85 schools in Lancashire, reportedly emailed local schools on Friday evening advising them not to reopen to more pupils on Monday morning

just spotted “picadilly gardens” trending on twitter.

Utter madness. Whilst I support the right for peaceful protest, in the middle of a global pandemic isn’t the time. Who will they blame if they or a family member contracts Covid and dies. Plus they are going back into their communities and potentially spreading the virus. How stupid are these people, what goes through their minds, if anything.

Yep. Lets hold a Cheltenham Festival event in the centre of London. Covidiocy.

Might as well open the pubs now, the whole things out of control. If there is no spike in the next few weeks then we may as well call lockdown off and go for it.

As I suggested yesterday we did reach the milestone of sub 100 deaths in UK hospitals on Friday,

75 in England, 6 Scotland, 10 Wales and I N. Ireland, Total 92

The other 112 reported today in the all settings figure will be mainly care homes.

All the other data is good too - especially for Saturday (ie Friday data). Its Sunday and Monday figures that tend to be low.

1557 new cases from 218 K tests.

Regionally 42 new cases in Wales, just 21 in Scotland.

In Scotland 3795 now discharged, and just 20 in ICU.

The England figure only added 2 deaths to the 30 and 31 May total so both stay well below 100. May 31 is only at 77 after 6 days.

So, yes it is a slow crawl to the finish but things are still going in the right direction from the data.

Though total deaths it only slightly down from last Saturdays overall total of 226 so best to bear that in mind too.
