On the other hand there is more evidence today supporting the North West as a hot spot. More of the new cases were from here in todays figures than yesterdays.

London overall added just 25, the North East (another worst impacted area) added 17 -though the North West is overall more than twice its size in population. North West added 79 new cases.

Of these 5 were in Blackpool - one of the worst impacted locations in the UK if anyone is planning a day trip. Eight were added in Manchester. 2 in Bolton. 4 in Bury (the second worst impacted area in Greater Manchester) 2 in Oldham (the worst impacted in Greater Manchester and just below Blackpool in rankings) 3 in Rochdale, 5 in Salford and 2 in Stockport.

The Wirral, btw, has the very same rating as Bury - so one of the worst in the North West. Where they took the cruise ship passengers in the early days of the pandemic, by coincidence or not. And where some Madrid fans may have visited when they played Liverpool whilst their home city was in chaos.

cant understand how London is low for a while all of a sudden
Tubes and buses have still been packed and its so densely populated.

As I suggested yesterday we did reach the milestone of sub 100 deaths in UK hospitals on Friday,

75 in England, 6 Scotland, 10 Wales and I N. Ireland, Total 92

The other 112 reported today in the all settings figure will be mainly care homes.

with the delays in reporting you won’t know how many died on Friday for about 5 days.

Cheers for update.
Any news on the regional R rates today?

London had an R average of 0.6 three weeks ago, 0.7 two weeks ago 0.8 last week and as of yesterday it was 0.95. With the Covidiots on parade today it will be above 1 next week.

We heard today that my Brother In-Law Gary has tested positive for Covid-19 in an antibody test. He is a chef for Cheshire Police and was checked along with other site staff members..

We were with Gary at my other Sister In-Law's on Christmas day and she had a very nasty flu type bug. I was angry at the time because Sue has Lymphoma and should try and avoid exposure to these things.

We both came down with the same apparent bug along with Gary (and others who had been exposed on Christmas Day) at our son's wedding night on the 28th of December. Sue had it for a couple of weeks but I couldn't shake it for at least three weeks. I eventually went to the doctor who said it was viral and I needed no medication..

Gary was told that most of the people who have tested positive in the Covid antibody test confirmed that the last time they were ill was in December / January and the dose had been particularly nasty

It makes me wonder therefore if we've had it and finally shook it without medical help.

The odd case may have been about that long ago but no way it was wide spread back then.

If it was wide spread then the excess deaths spike would have been around then.

But that kicked in late March which means wide spread infections started early mid March.

I support the cause but the method is pure Covidiocity. Only half are wearing face coverings and social distancing is non existant.
I get why they are doing it, but my god what a bunch of selfish fucking idiots. It's not just their life they are putting at risk, but those if their families as well. Unfuckingbelievable!!!

Utter madness. Whilst I support the right for peaceful protest, in the middle of a global pandemic isn’t the time. Who will they blame if they or a family member contracts Covid and dies. Plus they are going back into their communities and potentially spreading the virus. How stupid are these people, what goes through their minds, if anything.
What really gets me is I’ve not seen my mum for months because both parents are high risk.
Sure I talk to her on the phone and whatnot but, I’ve not seen seen her or hugged her. she’s not seen her grandkids and their business is really struggling because they’ve had to close. We’ve missed both of their birthdays and they might not make the next one......
But it’s ok for all those selfish idiots to get together when it suits their needs and spread the fkin virus whilst risking their lives, those around them, those around there’s and so on, and drag this whole thing out longer.

People clearly will die as a result of social distancing in all of these protests - are they murderers as they are knowingly doing this despite being told it’s not actually legal and the fact (it’s not a risk, it’s a fact) that it will cause additional deaths?

I understand that and it is why I keep referencing the importance of the 5 day totals in my posts. And saying it has now been several days of 5 day totals that are all below 100 in England.
