This one reads as though it could be significant. Strains of this flu virus already at the stage where they're detected in humans.

Hancock conforming Leicester to close schools and shops. Anyone with symptoms has to come forward apparently, should they not be getting a shit load of testing kits in and going house to house? The way the lock down was enforced nationally can we see the population of Leicester taking it seriously?

Yeah they are apparently aware of thousands of potential animal viruses that could one day jump to humans, but that's going to be the case forever while we exist as a species. Nowt we can do but just hope it doesn't happen. Even if it did, there's no telling whether it'd be as bad as this or not.

The quicker we evolve into AI robots/cyborgs the better. These computers can’t get viruses.

maybe this will focus much better understanding of both the viruses and how we now globally deal with them (given how this has somewhat exposed the fragility of our current society).
