Scotland 0 deaths again but 17 new cases. However only 3 now in ICU.

Wales 1 new death and 16 new cases.

So UK total hospital deaths looks to be a new low of 17. Down from 22 last week.

The 16 England hospital patient deaths were aged between 47 and 93 and all had prior underlying health conditions.

Pals grandad just died in a home.
Theyve had to fight not to have COVID on his death cert.
very old. Had rapidly gone downhill since wife died. Just gave up

showed little signs of C19 symptoms but doc was insistent on putting it down it down even without a test.

So this is how PHE collate their figures for Covid deaths. They periodically check the database of all the people who have tested positive and if they have died they add them to the number of Covid deaths.

And that's it....no check to see what they actually died of. On that basis no-one would ever recover from Covid as they would eventually die. It's fucking unbelievable!!!

the whole testing and recording of deaths has been a shambles. There can only be two explanations

1 we over record our Covid deaths , without it being the major cause of death; or

2 our glorious NHS has done a shit job.

That is correct but it makes a huge difference now as it skews the figures to the point where the correct decisions can't be made. The fact is that the numbers dying in hospital are very small but the keep adding 'all settings deaths' that are clearly bollocks. They are either from months ago or not Covid related.

What matters is how many people are currently getting Covid, how many are in hospital and how many are dying RIGHT NOW.

Agreed as to short term Covid-19 management. Useless beyond that.

My monies on both considering that they discovered a month ago that cleaners and porters were spreading the disease.
Who'd have thought that was even possible...

114 all settings deaths. Way up on last Friday (which was just 48) and rather disappointing as nearly 100 of those are not in hospital.

Of course how many of them really did die of Covid?

A doctor on BBC news has just noted if you have ever had Covid then your death under current rules would be labelled as from Covid even if it happened years from now.

Which is clearly crackers.
