Sadly despite the low hospital numbers the all settings deaths were up this week.

119 v 110 last Tuesday.

There were 95 out of hospital deaths added then and 107 this week.

Though Tuesday is always the out of hospital catch up day I was hoping for a sub 100 Tuesday total.

Perhaps next week.

New cases also up on last Tuesday (they were low then at 445).

But are at least down on yesterday at 581.

So new cases have fallen now for 5 straight days - all be it by just one over the first three days, then 20 and now a fall of 62.

However, this is from lowest number of tests in a while and less than last Tuesday.

Only 99,090 tests v 101, 741 a week ago and 14 K down on yesterday and 40 - 50 K down on previous few days.

The Pillar 1 & 2 tests also down on last week from 84,093 to 82, 265

Regional scoreboard reflects the drop but only in tiny steps.

London 61 - down from two successive 87s

West Midlands 67 - down from 83 and 69

Yorks & Humber 110 - actually a rise from 102, 109, 102 and 100 - but guess you could say that's stable!

Sadly the North West still ahead of the pack at 146 - still higher than any numbers before the past 5 days or so but inching down from 189, 164 and 150 over past days.

North West regional population (pop) number is now 624.0 after these recent high numbers. The worst in England.

By comparison London is 394.8, West Midlands 455.1 and Yorks & Humber 576.7

The high pop ratings for Blackburn & Darwen , Oldham and Rochdale in particular are the main reason.

GM scoreboard is generally better news.

Bolton 3 (down from 5, 171 over 26 days, 34 in the past week) Pop number 685.4

Bury 7 (up from 0 - loses chance of going top - 68 over 26 days, 25 in the past week) Pop number 699.1. Looks set to top 700 tomorrow.

Manchester 16 (down from 23 - 339 over 26 days , 127 in the past week) Pop number 579.6

Oldham 20 (up from 14 - continuing the bad run that has led to restrictions today - 245 over the 26 days - 126 in past week - 95 over past 5 days) Pop number 872.6

Rochdale 6 (down from 11, best in a while - 308 over the 26 days - 73 over past week - going in the opposite direction to Oldham at the moment) Pop number 834.5

Salford 5 (up from 2 - 127 over the 26 days - 52 over past week) Pop number 559.7

Stockport 7 (down from 12 - better news but still high for here - 98 over 26 days - 47 over past week - 39 over past 4 days) Pop number 586.4

Tameside 3 (down from 5 - 90 over the 26 days - 35 over past week) Pop number 704.3

Trafford 13 (up from 9, highest since I started logging here - 34 over past 3 days) Pop number 585.1

Wigan 3 (up from 2, 63 over the 26 days - 26 over past week - still lowest case numbers with Bury - but not either by pop numbers - Salford wins on that score) Pop number 666.1

Other areas on the watchlist

Wakefield 11 up from 4

Bradford 41 up from 38

Blackburn & Darwen 26 up from 17 - highest in a week

Leicester 8 - first single figure number in a month since the lockdown here. It was 10 times that per day three weeks ago, 3 or 4 times that for most of last week

Beta hospital data.

UK patient numbers rose slightly (by 29) to 1286.

But UK patients on ICU Ventilators fell below 100 (to 97) for first time.

Someone sent me a video (can't find a link to post it on here) about how we are being played by the media....
The women in the video said type in any 3 numbers, (space) and then "new cases" into your search bar and hit enter and see what comes up.
Doesnt matter what 3 numbers you type in, you will see the same results with just a different number.....
Well, that theory unsurprisingly fell at the very first hurdle!
