People aren’t dying from a collapse of their organs (lungs apart) due to COVID, it’s leaving a trace on them at worst.

Erm.. What? Covid has been causing multiple organ failure since day one.

The hyperinflammatory response of the body, coupled with the plausible direct effects of severe acute respiratory syndrome on body-wide organs via angiotensin-converting enzyme 2, has been associated with complications of the disease. Acute respiratory distress syndrome, heart failure, renal failure, liver damage, shock, and multiorgan failure have precipitated death

And thats not including the blood clotting it causes and all the additional side effects from that including stroking out. loosing limbs due to clotting etc etc.

I’m not wrong on it if you think that, you’re claiming the whole medical profession is.

Its still a very dangerous illness to have (even if you don't have any underlying illness to begin with). It would definitely wipe my mum out and me and my dad aren't in great shape either. While none of us are shit scared (especially my mum) we are still following the current rules (despite the lack of clairity) to the letter.

The Greater Manchester scoreboard - however - is brighter reading. With numbers down across the board and the county total being the second best since lockdown.

Last few days th GM scoreboard for the 10 councils has been Mon/Tue 368 (avg 184 per day) Wed/Thu 335 (avg 167/168 per day) Fri 124 Sat 119.

And today we are at just 89.

That is again a really good number - though as you see more than half the NW total of 165.

But a steady drop throughout the week in GM even when case numbers nationally have been up and down.

they won’t release local lockdown though will they

I assume in another 2 weeks they will review. If the cases in the region are showing signs the virus is under more control then lockdown restrictions would be gradually lifted.

Kids going back to school will be a big test, hundreds of kids and going up in big chunks are happening in the states, interesting to see what happens here and what relevance it has

September will see six vaccines here in phase three trials,t he head of the task force says next year we will have one to use i f at least one is viable, things are moving fast on that front

Sorry you are so wrong on this, medicine is never black and white and drs should say what kills people and not the government to make themselves look more compitent

death certificates allow for secondary reasons as well as primary cause of death
I thought if covid was on cert it went down as a Covid death regardless of time limit.

GM scoreboard - almost universally promising.

Bolton 4 (down from 6 to lowest since lockdown). 245 over month. 76 past weekfalling daily. 10 last 2 days (was 19). Pop score 754

Bury 2 (down from 9 to lowst since lockdown). 151 over month. 59 past week falling steadily. 11 last 2 days (was 21). Pop score 769

Manchester 21 (down from 34 to lowest in 2 weeks). 748 over month. 259 past week.55 last 2 days (was 68). Pop score 689.

Oldham 30 (UP from 15 - sadly the big problem area still). 687 over month. 237 past week, 45 last 2 days (was 29)
Pop score 1107 - crashing into the 1100 club as third worst in UK just behind Blackburn. But catching up,

Rochdale 5 (down from 11 - big contrast with neighbour). 311 over month. 86 past week.16last 2 days (was 21). Pop score 932

Salford 9 (down from 10) 268 over month. 96 past week, 19 last2 days (was 27) Pop score 639.

Stockport 5 (down from 13 - lowest in over a week). 248 over month. 63 past week Steady improvement. 18 last 2 days (was 19) Pop score 653

Tameside 6 (down from 11). 237 over month. 65 past week.17last 2 days (was 15). Pop score 790.

Trafford 4 (down from 7). 216 over month. 61 past week 11 last 2 days (was 17) . Pop score 660

Wigan 3 (level). 98 over month (back below 100 as easily lowest casesin GM). 33 past week. 6 last 2 days (was 7). Pop score 684.

It was,the gov changed it to within 28 days of diagnosis two weeks ago, changed it to 60 days last week, after that is not counted, spinning figures if ever I have seen it,it clearly says that drs have to work backwards in the sequence of what lead to death, given what we know about the effects of covid on the body it really is a nonsense to take it off the figures
