COVID-19 — Coronavirus

One reason why Covid isn't going. Read a long diatribe on Linked about a bloke from Ellesmere Port who met a guy from Manchester who gave him advice on setting up a business and how today the guy from Manchester made to journey to EP to view his new offices. Picture of them arms around each other inside the office. No masks, no social distancing no nothing. Why a visit can't wait is beyond me and even if he had to travel why post all over the internet a picture like that. What is it that people don't or can't understand. Stay the fuck away from people not in your household or bubble etc

Long term issues looked at.

Notes will be added as I watch.

non hospitalised: only checked 14-16 days but 35% not back to normal after 16 days. % had an age range. 18% for 18-34, over 55 was about 45-50% were not back to normal.

Hostpitalised cases: 87% of patients were not back to normal after 2 months.

Additional point: ICU level patients are expected to take about a year to get back to normal across any reason for being in ICU.

looks like there is now evidence that small pockets of virus can continue to live in areas of the body. in the Gut, Eyes ( read earlier not from video ) and in the nerves.

Some much larger scale studies are ongoing so expect more detailed info soon.

Northern Ireland still escalating too.

0 deaths (v 1 last week) - best news but when you see below you will know this will not last.

1080 cases (v 934 last week) at 6%

The rolling weekly total is now a staggering 5272 (v 2623 last week).

Of these 104 are over 80. Hence why I say deaths are not going to be nil every day sadly

And 535 are aged 60 - 79. (So overall 60 + % is over 12%)

Hospital patients now 132 (v 65 last week - like elsewere doubling in a week).

Number on ventilators 10 (v 7 last week)

allowed to go to as many Pubs as he wants as long as he sticks to the rules.
If the pub is not sticking to the rules he is also breaking the rules by being there
If you are not happy with the way the pub are handling the rules, go somewhere else.
It's not rocket science.
It might help to keep the ones that are trying to adhere to the rules open

And UK cases without England totals a pretty horrifying 3092 - first time the 3 nations have topped the 3000 in a day (it was 2171 last week). Also will be the first time ever 3 of the four nations recorded over 1000 cases in the same day.

Pretty much every number has risen by at least 50% in the week. Some higher,

Last week's England case numbers were meaningless because of the mess up on data but safe to say we will not be expecting much good news later. But we can hope to be surprised.

Why would you want to take Nightingales into account, if we need them we have to find the staff and it's because the hosptals are full. If we need to take nightingales into accout we've already fucked it up.
Who staff's these covid only nightingales.
Who was going to staff the nightingales? Or maybe they could use the nurses who always had the time to make tik-tok videos and be out clapping....
