Well imo if we’d set up a structure of nightingales or certain hospitals were only used for treating COVID-19 across the country normal hospital routines could have carried on.
There isn’t the staff pal, at Manchester I saw the setup 400 beds even if it’s 1 nurse per 2 patients that’s 400 for 24hour shift, they just don’t have the specialists available

soooo...............4,000 epidemiologists and scientists signed an open letter saying we were on the wrong track and herd immunity is the way forward - Nick Ferrari and Carole Malone were bigging it up presumably because they value to work done by Dr Johnny Bananas and his chums

That has to be ones of the most dickish comments I've read for a while.
The problem is more and more now have similar views.
When it was all new and nobody had an idea what was happening they were happy to praise the NHS.
Sadly, there’s a large amount of the population who have decided it’s not as bad as we thought so all restrictions are a waste and the NHS aren’t doing anything special.
It’s an opinion that’s becoming far more prevailing on social media day by day.
There will be many problems ahead due to the sheer number wanting to just crack on.

i expect the english cases to be quite 'spiky' with the various student outbreaks? they showed signs of levelling at about 12,000 a day (actual case date, not date reported) recently but there've been some big student outbreaks reported, see what occurs.

Long term issues looked at.

Notes will be added as I watch.

non hospitalised: only checked 14-16 days but 35% not back to normal after 16 days. % had an age range. 18% for 18-34, over 55 was about 45-50% were not back to normal.

Hostpitalised cases: 87% of patients were not back to normal after 2 months.

Additional point: ICU level patients are expected to take about a year to get back to normal across any reason for being in ICU.

looks like there is now evidence that small pockets of virus can continue to live in areas of the body. in the Gut, Eyes ( read earlier not from video ) and in the nerves.

Some much larger scale studies are ongoing so expect more detailed info soon.

Thanks , very interesting
