How is it ridiculous? Trump seemingly had a drive-thru infection. Normally people end up in hospital after 10 days, he can’t be over it already, unless he never had it and it was a publicity stunt.

I don't think conservative political magazine has got anything useful to say about infection control. WHO guidance is clear: lockdowns are a last resort but they are not against lockdowns.

It doesn't matter whether your population was controlled by an elite of business owners, royal families, religious cleric or whether it was led by warlords or a 'Soviet' of the people, aliens etc, social distancing would still be a strategy of infection control.

The Democrats and the BBC play this game too. US political scene is impacting on an emergency use authorisation of a US vaccine.

I understand that lockdowns become politicised because they are instigated and enforced by the state. Infection control becomes politicised because an elite are now dictating it but the principles of quarantine and social distancing are clearly straightforward and are unrelated to human beings.

Herd immunity was the target initially but then within weeks, because it literally was that easy, a host of scientists developed vaccines and ever since then suppression has taken over as its gradually become clear that these will work.

Science is the way out of this. Let them do their research free of political interference and that goes for Republican and Democrats.
