I do too, but unfortunately, it's those that aren't complying that are forcing those that are to close.

If I ran somewhere that was complying, and I knew somewhere that wasn't I'd be kicking up a huge fuss, but the people who go in those that are not complying, often do so because they don't want to give details in case they are asked to isolate, so the good ones aren't being used as much, and the bad ones too much.

The first rule, when pubs were opened, should have been that nobody gets served until contact details are taken. Any pubs which don't comply are shut down.

But in typical fashion, this bunch of clowns did it in a half arsed manner & waited for months before doing it, then panicked.

Now they are taking desperate measures, but leaking it first, in case they've missed anything which could cost them votes, so even if they are doing the right thing they are doing it wrong.

I see there are few posters with family members studying in Leeds so if they struggle with access to food etc due to a lockdown, let me know and I would try to help.

I wish her well bud, I thought it was a longer isolation period working in care homes, the next door neighbour was off for the month at the start of lockdown although we're up in Scotland.

Hi thanks mate nah a fair few of the carers where she works has it, its 14 days the management said.
Also i aint sure maybe each home has there own incubation period i aint too sure tbh.

I thought the initial openings were supposed to be that anyway, but "Bat Man", and "Mickey Mouse" were being given as names, and other false details, as usual people just taking the piss out of the system.

Ah i just noticed your last part about Scotland that may be why the incubation period is longer each country has they own way of doing it kinda thing, but thats just a guess to be honest.

Clearly, but it isn’t the some that’s the issue, if most transmission is in , for example student halls, and that’s where most cases are that’s relatively benign. It’s the transmission from the young into the population more at risk or living with those more at risk and needing hospitalising that is the problem.
It’s this transmission they are trying to stop and as far as I know the contact tracing indicates the transmission, from students amongst others, is saying hospitality is part of that. Obviously so is households mixing indoors, which is also being stopped in some areas.
People may disagree but why would governments close down hospitality at great expense to itself with no evidence it is a problem, that makes no sense. So I assume they have evidence it’s happening.

they cabt stop people mixing in households thats the issue, they can shut down hospitality. I guess if they had to get by on next to nothing or at best were reduced to paying themselves two thirds of the minimum wage they wouldnt be so keen on doing the same to several million others. Instead they have awarded themselves a nice pay rise.

Fair enough but the sooner everyone accepts it’s here to stay and there’s going to be deaths, and plenty of them unfortunately, the better. There’s no cure and we’ll be unlikely to find one.

Where do you get the idea that we will not find a vaccine or cure from? The scientific people are very confident that they have/will do just that.

Surely you are not going to come up with that old chesnut...."they havent found a cure for the common cold"??
