Scotland data is terrible

15 deaths (v 6 last week v 4 wk before)

1167 cases (v 1009 last week v 764 wk before)

At 17.6% positive (v 14/1% last week v 12.1 wk before)

Scotland hospital data as bad

675 in hospital (+ 46 in day) (v 432 last week v 191 wk before)

On ventilators 62 (+ 4 in day) (v 34 last week v 23 wk before).

No need to spell out how bad these numbers are.

Unity - bollocks, man.

At one time last week the highest district, Nottingham, was on 880 cases per 100,000. The lowest, Folkestone, was on 14.

Do the maths. You think it it‘s fair to treat them the same? Specially when you see how some bellends in the worst areas behave. All you’d breed is resentment and rancour.

I agree, in relation to the pandemic, that treating everyone the same is going to reduce the effectiveness of further measures. A large proportion of the public appear to have already had enough and there are only so many times most will be told what to do before they get to a point where they simply do not listen.

England hospital death details of today's 86 deaths:

16 Oct adds 10 = 10 after one day.

15 Oct adds 45 = 59 after two days. This is the most added to one day since 3 June.

14 Oct adds 12 = 69 after three days. This is also the highest 3 day total since 3 June.

13 Oct adds 5 = 62 after four days. This is the highest 4 day total since 10 June.

12 Oct adds 1 = 66 after five days. This is the highest 5 day total since 7 June.

There are loads of add ons to previous days starting to happen again now too.

11 Oct adds 5 to = 69 (highest cummulative death total for any day in England hospitals since 10 June)

Other add ons 10 Oct +1 = 56, 9 Oct +2 = 46. 8 Oct +1 = 54, 29 Sep +1 = 35, 24 Sep +1 = 21, 23 Sep +1 = 37

And 16 Sep +1 = 16.

I think a very large minority have got there already and that minority is close to becoming a majority. Its not hard to see why that is. Its been an absolute shambles from start to finish.

I read similar the other day, and was then later discussing it with someone who knows a married couple that have it. The guy is very ill, having been fit and healthy before, whilst his wife (who has a heart problem) is nowhere near as bad.
I know my group is negative, just not sure if A or O.
I keep meaning to ask what mine is then i forget, i reckon there is something in it

Of the 86 deaths in England hospitals they were aged between 44 and 99 and just 2 - aged 62 and 79 - had no previously known underlying conditions.

Bad yes, terrible not really, we are seeing a levelling off of increases which you would expect to precede them hopefully starting to fall.

I think 15 deaths is pretty terrible. sorry.

If you factor that up to England's population it would mean about 170 deaths happening there. Happily we are not there yet in a day.

But I agree about the plateauing of case rises which I did refer to with the Wales data. And I have noted happening a few times in other numbers over the past week. That is a positive to take on board.
