I agree that if people were just looking at the number of beds occupied on the wards and ICU it’s very comparable with Autumn in other years. Even when the remaining empty beds are full it won’t be much out of the ordinary. The difference will be when the surge capacity is full and we (the public and the NHS)!need to stop that from overflowing and stopping other essential services. We know from the cases already locked in that we will be utilising the surge capacity in the next weeks / months.I know, but this winter is, up to today at least, not any different from most other winters and that is the only point I am trying to make.
