Who do you trust, Nelly?
Well Roub -I trust those equally eminent experts who don't have to cover the ass of the politicians they owe their jobs to. People who don't have to defend the waste of £billions on useless track, test and trace. Experts who aren't political mouthpieces but genuine intelligent not establishment career donkeys.
The Barrington Declaration and my own judgement is who I trust.

Food for thought, the UK first locked down on March 23rd (more strictly than now) when we reached 67 reported daily deaths. As a result, the disease was controlled and daily deaths carried on rising but peaked at around 1,000 before declining.

Today we reached circa 500 reported deaths before we've locked down tomorrow. I wonder where the peak will be.
The peak will be where Dominic Cummings tells Boris it will be.

You might want to read all the names on that list lol

I don’t believe the death numbers are any way stacking up with your figures.

Are you saying that the First Minister has done a superior job to the Prime Minister in dealing with the coronavirus?
OK you are entitled to believe that if you like - here is the source of my figures for you to check (the site has been updated since I quoted my figures but they are broadly the same) - now what evidence do you have to back up your belief?

Incidentally the tragic figure of 50 deaths in Scotland represented 9.15 deaths per million whilst England's equally tragic 388 deaths represented 6.89 deaths per million. The 7 day figures moved to 31.7 for Scotland and 30.6 for England; the overall figures to 536 for Scotland and 749 for England. (According to that site)

Apart from her communication that I believe has been far superior to that of the Prime Minister I'm not sure at the moment whether the overall policies will turn out to have made an awful lot of difference - time will tell, as with comparisons to other countries, simply suppressing the virus may not be sustainable in the long term. There is no easy balance. It is also difficult to compare countries over a short time period as they may be in different points on their cycle.

My issues are more that you appear to be misrepresenting the Scottish situation.

I still disagree with your assertions.
Neither government, for whatever reason, have handled this well. Although, equally, few democracies have.
Your allegiance to your adopted country is admirable, however I have little allegiance to either and am able to be objective about the way both have been represented by both the press and some posters on here.
My issue is the free ride given to Sturgeon, who is no better than Johnson despite, again, the differences in severity of intervention. She’s riding a populist wave that is undeservin.

I don’t like to see any harm from the Covid regardless of nationality but it was pretty low for the SNP to try and blame Scotland’s predicament on Blackpool. I wouldn’t be surprised it if it was the other way round.
