Not sure, she said she’s just got a job to start after New Year and it’s going to be mass vaccination at the stadium. Is that the existing Covid testing centre on the North Car Park, or are they using the actual stadium now too?
if the R0 of the new variant averages 5.27, then schools simply can't be allowed to reopen till mass vaçination of the vulnerable has completed.
Shocking, my condolences for your loss.Thing is mate, as my favourite Auntie died from COVID last night (shortly after I posted), if it was that numbnut at the end of the bar I would probably have twatted the fucker.

I asked the same. If it is right though, we are in deeper shit than we may thinkwhere have you seen the 5.27?!
The natural R0 of previous strains averages is 3.1 - they really don't know because of 30% of folks being asymptomatic (they give a range between 2.2 to 5).Where has that RO figure come from mate?
I think we should be grateful to the UK scientists for identifying the changes.Typical media now demonising those getting on trains out or London.
Easy to provide comment and sneer when you aren't faced with the same situation.
I lived in London for 5 years, the first couple of years I lived on my own. Really not sure what I would have done when faced with the current situation as a young singleton in his 20s. Maybe tempted to get on the next pendelino to Piccadilly to stay with family?
I lived with mates for the following 3 years and would have stayed where I was. No doubt we'd enjoy Xmas day together and get pissed.
Media desperate to divide us. Don't give in to it. The government fucked up but moving London to Tier 2 and being too late to react.
In addition, trains to Manchester are always busy at this time of the year.
Thanks for the explanation. Is that your view or is that from the scientific community advising the government? The natural R0 of previous strains averages is 3.1 - they really don't know because of 30% of folks being asymptomatic (they give a range between 2.2 to 5).
If the new strain is 70% more infectious then you simply multiply 3.1 * 170% and that gives you am average natural R0 of 5.27.
