Just been for a last supper in my local. The landlord told me that the brewery has told him they're anticipating a 3 months closure.
Happy Easter.

Our local has only been open for two out of the last nine months. His garden looks brilliant though.

YORKSHIRE 2057 - UP from 1886 First time Yorkshire has topped 2000 in over 6 weeks.

NORTH WEST 3420 - big drop from 4194.

GREATER MANCHESTER had 1048 cases a fall of 356 of the 774 above.

This was actually enough to put GM onto 31% - the lowest percentage of the NW since last Summer.

It has been under 40% now for 18 days.

The reason? In those days East Lancashire has escalated more Merseyside even more.

And the Cheshire areas excluded from higher tiers like East Cheshire - paid the price for being oases in the wilderness where all the infected went to eat, drink and be merry spreaders of the new strain to the previously lower infected areas.

If only we could have foreseen such a possibility.

It’s effectively a national lockdown again. Six weeks after everyone being locked indoors, we will see all those returning from Dubai and Barbados... only to find a sudden rise in cases again. And so the endless cycle goes on.
