Sorry. Fair enough. Must have been worrying. Hope you get better soon.

I don't know how people are supposed to work out whether what they have got is a normal bug or coronavirus. Very difficult to get tested I believe.

Well that was the worry, in general I know I'll be fine but the worry is about family. I was meant to be helping my uncle with a job at my nans tomorrow, both have major health issues so I've had to can that one.

OK so that's great news on a number of fronts.
We know Karen has it (pretty sure the whole of the internet knows) and we also know that you had a social interaction with her but don't have it. What would be interesting to know is how long you were in her company and in what environment? Same table in and enclosed bar? Stood next to each other in a queue?

People are worried about catching it from a steward on this thread so would you care to share some details?
We spent about 8hrs together,he had my arm all the time ,we chatted up close as it was noisy, outside for most of it
I'm an open book,i have felt like i could help with givng people the facts and the process and treatment i have had,it is important that the facts and not myths were put out, knowledge is power and all that

Unfortunately life has a price, this is and will always be the case. I understand not going into full lockdown, I understand not closing schools just yet or not taking everyone out of work but we need to slow this down and to me the mindset of everyone should be interact with others only if you have to. The elderly, non workers and those with serious health issues need to stay indoors as much as possible. The rest need to act sensibly go to work unless they have symptoms then go home.

There is no need to go to a football match, a concert, a shopping centre etc...

The question is do you force people into these actions? Do you accept the economic damage from doing so? I think the government don’t have the stomach for either.

I understand not shutting schools down yet too.

There’s no logic for sport continuing, as an example, though. Yes you do force some of it as sometimes that is what’s needed to enforce behaviours elsewhere too.

But *when* did Karen contract it, that is just as important to the discussion.

A rigorous epidemiological investigation should be launched immediately!

I met kaz around 1pm and was pretty much with her for 7 maybe 8 hours. Helped her walking by linking her and sat next to her during the game. Just normal interaction but over quite a long period.

Rang 111 on Tuesday 8am, they got back to me at 6pm and told me to contact GP. GP no appointments for 2 weeks so sent me to out of hours, first appointment I could get was 8pm tonight.

That was before the storm of this government announcement, 111 wont be able to cope, which is why they've said contact them online.
And this is with less than 600 confirmed cases. In around 10 days we will have 5000. 111/NHS is already cracking.
