that is not the same as saying the current plans aim is to use herd immunity.
They have been clear about the strategy and where we are in it and why it's the strategy and how extreme the measures will become and why they are not doing everything right now.
If you have to finesse the quoted statement as to not mean what it clearly implies, ie to have herd immunity you need to reach a certain infection level then the Govt strategy is not clear is it?
And given the media from the BBC to the FT via the MoS has seen fit to give the Govts communications a severe kicking today I would suggest that you are largely alone in this valiant attempt to prove otherwise.
