Well I'm not sending my kids back until I'm satisfied they're safe, I couldn't give a fuck what Gove, Whitty, Hancock or wanna be Winston fucking say, my responsibility as a parent is to keep my children safe and it will be ME who makes the decision because it will be me and the rest of the family who has to live with the consequences not some pompous politicians.

Yes it could be the Muslims. Or it could the entire nation collectively losing its minds during the VE celebrations last weekend.
Except it can't be VE day yet unless they suddenly changed how the virus acts could it?
there was a clear increase due to easter, there is now a change in numbers from the Mildlands in particular. it could be for any number of reasons and the change in social behaviour during Ramadan could be one of them.

It might be that care homes, where the R is higher, are making up a higher proportion of cases as people in the community with the virus reduces. I’ve seen a number of statisticians and Public Health analysts suggest this on social media.

The Pubic Health team in Yorkshire and Humber say hospital admissions are not falling faster because COVID-19 units are now admitting ill people from care homes where they were resistant to do so before.

Maybe the Government will start publishing estimated R by location / sector of the people with the virus?

I've just been discharged from Glos Hosp. (twice in two weeks. Both unrelated to covid19, thankfully)
And though i was really impressed with the care, attention of all staff whilst in the ward, i was deflated, angry at groups of staff/people hanging about outside inherently not giving a shit. Me, with my protective clothing etc, made me feel that i was the odd one, and maybe the lockdown was finally over. To tell the truth, dont think anyone knows wtf is going on! Sorry. Am normally a 'glass full' guy

I notice Elton College will not re-open until September.
I suppose by then they’ll know if testing the safety of reopening schools has worked on the expendable proletariat and they can get our future leaders back in education.
They closed earlier than peasant schools n’all.

Is this taking into account the very scary but very real Kawasaki disease or toxic shock syndrome which seems to be becoming more and more prevalent in children who's immune systems have initially fought off Covid? Just wondering if they're not being labelled in getting ill from Covid when in actual fact they're getting ill from something related to it.

I've got a wee one at nursery (not been for 8 weeks) but I'd be reluctant to send him back until more information and more research is done on the Kawasaki disease symptoms as it's a horrifying prospect.

I've got a 4 year old and anything is worry. But the reality is they have got more chance of getting sepsis and becoming seriously ill from that. It hasn't stopped you living your life until this point. Every time you get out of bed it's a risk you just need to work out what level of risk is acceptable to take.
