Anyway back to the point of the thread

A further 77 people have died in UK hospitals of Covid-19 - the lowest rise since lockdown began.

So far the disease has claimed the lives of 29,812 people in clinical settings.

When lockdown began on March 23, 160 people died in English's hospitals alone.

In England 25,751 people have now died in hospitals, an increase of 59 over yesterday's 25,692 total.

A total of 2,273 people have died of Covid-19 in Scotland, up three from 2,270 yesterday.

There are 1,269 people in Scottish hospitals with confirmed or suspected Covid-19, a decrease of 60.

In Wales a further seven people lost their lives to the disease, adding to yesterday's total of 1,267 so far

I enjoyed the DC interview.

whatever your political leanings you have to give him kudos for coming out and answering questions like that. Fair play to the lad.

Absolutely , he cleared it up for me. Difficult to think some people do not trust the lad.
He has a new ready made slogan, ready for Thursday.

"Do as we say , not as we do"

Catchy, edgy, relevant.

As for Boris ,getting good news out to deflect from the pressure.

True but state schools intend to use a rota system to keep sizes low I believe
...and how will a rota system work?

Let's just say that the plan is to half the class size and effectively create two classes for each class.
Will teachers be expected to teach both classes and therefore spend twice as much time at work?

I wonder why the unions are getting involved ;)

Plenty will be and I think parents will be allowed to make their own decision on whether it’s right for their kids without fear of falling foul of the authorities for keeping them home. Makes more sense than a blanket “no schools should open” policy pursued by the unions
I think giving your kids a fundamentally better chance of not getting the virus significantly trumps a few weeks missed education

It’s not perfect but any education is better than none
