Semantics, come on healdplace you are clearly a clever guy, lets not pretend, we both know why you posted that sentance the way you did!

Okay, fair enough. We will have to disagree as there was no agenda at all on my part in that sentence. It says what I meant and I meant what I said.

But then you do assume quite a lot about me too. Which might explain why you think I am playing some kind of game with words or trying to be the big man in a fight

I can assure you that I am not and that this would actually be quite a trick for me to manage.

I can assure you that I am not and that this would actually be an amazing trick for me to manage.

Ok fair enough, just so I understand what was your reason for putting that sentence in then?

Sorry Kaz but my perfectly healthy Mum who never smoked, drank and went to the gym 2 or 3 times a week doing classes got flu, which led to pneumonia and her lungs are now fucked. You're wrong there totally.
You have said so many things about people you know that contradict each other that i just dont believe you any more

Scottish data again not good news.

2 deaths.

800 cases at a new record high of 13.1% positive.

303 in Greater Glasgow 167 Lanarkshire 164 Lothian

And 262 now in hospital - 44 in the last 24 hours - by miles the most in recent months.

And 25 now on ventilatirs - up 3 in a day.

These numbers are worrying and I know happy clappers will go on about the numbers in April. But this is not April it is now. And now is escalating very obviously unless you choose not to see that as some appear to want to do.

Cannot blame them. Nobody belkieves it will get as bad as then for many reasons. Bit in relartiver terms we are now in trouble That this is getting worse daily is now very obvious. We need to face reality not try to find ways to explain it away.

2 deaths though? it is not the end of the world? If that goes on for a year it 730 people dieing. Sorry but i am with Bluejon

We will have to agree to dissagree again Karen. There is a proven link between recessions, peoples mental wellbeing and sadly suicides. There are also indicators that this recession will be worse due to the social isolation caused by lockdowns. Help is also harder to access due to covid.
I picked up the phone and called the mental health crisis team , they are there as are charities

Wow. Maybe if you weren't so self obsessed you would notice that I've mentioned this a few times before. Your not the only person who has been impacted by an illness believe it or not.

From now on I am just going to post raw data and no comments. I am starting to feel under a lot of stress and do not enjoy arguing. Will let you get on with it and read with interest.

I enjoy your ongoing analysis around this and your own opinion. Please carry on with it.

N Ireland data

1 death (v 0 last week)

669 cases (v 320 last week)

85 patients in hospital up 21 in a day (most in 4 months) (v 36 last week)

8 on ventilators (up 1)

The rolling N Ireland 7 day average is now 4005 - it was 1702 seven days ago.

These split by age group as:

731 aged 0 - 19

1718 aged 20 - 39

1091 aged 40 - 59

And over 60 465 = approx 11.5%

Pneumonia gets better with antibiotics, you are a complete bullshitter from the start on this subject , you went with its only flu from the start and have dug your heels in despite 57,000 , according to the ONS have died of covid

I am ignoring you from now on

What is undeniable is that the number of positive infections, deaths, hospitalisations etc is on the increase. It certainly isn't anything like it was in March / April but we have no idea how many cases there were during that time. We are probably finding more positive cases now than actual tests were done in March / April. Numbers were coming down (deaths were single figures for a number of weeks) and now mainly due to more movement of people the virus is on the increase. What @Healdplace has been doing for months is, IMO, been brilliant and has helped people to understand more about how the virus has been growing or not. People forget that @Gelsons Dad who was also doing some splendid work early doors was so pissed off with people's bitchy comments that he stopped and I haven't see n him post for a long time. If you want to slag people off who are prepared to put the time and effort in to help everyone on here then fuck off to another site. I am not having a go at any one person here, it's a collective thing. We are all, with the exception of a few rags and dippers, blues on here and I can't stand the constant bitching. If you don't like someone's views then there is an ignore button you can use, which I have to great effect. Rant over, carry on @Healdplace some of us respect and admire your work
