Covid and travel discussion

Anybody got an idea of what I need to do in this situation. I'm flying to the UK to pick my son up at the end of the month? but literally won't be leaving the airport as my flight back with him is only 3 hours later. Obviously I need the fit to fly stuff but the two and 8 day testing isn't necessary. Will I still have to book it though?

You will be classed as a LANDSIDE transit passenger. Instructions are here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronav...nce-for-passengers#transiting-through-england

Hi Mate

Greece rules are as follows:

You have to fill in a passenger locator form (PLF) the day before arriving.
Re the entry requirements; if you have had 2 jabs (providing it's 2 weeks after the 2nd one before travel) your fine OR
a PCR test taken 72 hours before travel then your fine - assuming test is negative of course.
Edit if you have had 2 jabs obviously you need proof, by the NHS app OR you can get them to post you a certificate confirming both vaccinations.
Enjoy.
Cheers for that mate much appreciated ;)

The NHS app is not the one for track & trace (it's the other one which has your medical records in etc) but it is really handy to have as it shows you your vaccine status & you can download it to your phone. It's a bit of a pain to set up but it's good to have.

Yeh i’ve got that on my phone, cheers again

Both kids need all the tests.

I'd be interested to know how and where I could get 16 tests done for £300

You don’t need 16 tests - just the 3 per person so I think it’s more realistically:

1 x PCR outbound = £43 with Randox using discount code

1 x local antigen test = €30 with synlabs

1 x PCR day 2 after arrival home = £43 with Randox using discount code

= £113 per person

= £452 total for a family of 4
