Covid and travel discussion

£79 quid
there will be 3 of us so £240
then the 1 night stay at a sha or aq hotel in thailand, chea.pest about 4,000 bhat ,about £80 each another £240.
so roughly £500 on top of the airfare
really wished I hadnt bothered booking the flights

Which airline are the flights booked with?
And are they booked directly with the airline or via an online agency?

Qatar
online agency,netflights.

Qatar at least offer pretty decent flexibility.

Plan ahead and travel when you are ready | Qatar Airways

Any changes will have to go via Netflights but no reason for Netflights to be difficult if Qatar continue to offer all this flexibility.

Can't remember when it is you travel but you can of course sit on the situation for now and hope for a cancellation. Even though more countries are starting to open up, there is still plenty of cancellation potential, or large schedule changes that can trigger a cancellation option.

Just last week I had a flight to Bali in December cancelled by Lufthansa because they cancelled 2 of the 6 sectors.
That allowed me to apply for a full refund.

cheers mate.thanks for your input and help

i booked too quick really, jan 30th for a month,we both managed to get the time off with our work, both our departments knew we had to cancel last march when covid started in earnest, fools rush in and all that.

the thai sha or aq hotels,i thought i would just have to book a room, not have to pay 3 seperates payments etc

and there is the problem of our 14 year old not being vaccinated, the mrs doesn't want him to have it,we thought under 18 year olds wouldn't need it,it turns out they do

anyone know cheap places to have the rt pcr test before you fly ?
In tameside prefferably or manchester
I'm just trying to figour out how much its all going to cost us

That's what I'm looking at right now. For me, the nearest is in Broughton through Superdrug at £99 a pop.

Just trying to see if I can travel to Mukdahan, All a little confusing at the moment. Something on the a number of Thai sites saying I wouldn't be able to fly to Nakhon Phanom form Bangkok, others saying Thailand is fully open?

I'll give it till mid December and see how things are then..

Ignore what I just wrote. It's not a Test for release for International Travel.

from what i have understood
if everything is ok after having your rt-pcr test and 1 night stay in a sha hotel or aq hotel
you are free to go anywhere in thailand,at the moment with their current rules.
