Craig Bellamy

Craig Bellamy is his own man. Why do people think that Mark Hughes is the only manager that can get him to play? He was playing well at West Ham for Zola before he came to us. Why would he now choose to leave us at such an exciting time for the club? If it's his choice he will stay - no doubt.

Many successful buisness men do quite the opposite to what made them successful when they buy a football club. I suppose its the opportunity to play at management. Could any of us buy a football club and then sit by and never ever interfere. Not saying thats the case here all I'm trying to do is fathom out what the OP is suggesting and if they can replace him with a world superstar then who knows.
tin hats on, but when craig bellamy is in full flow i would argue he is WORLD class,

No tin hat needed... completely agree, one of the most underestimated players ever..
A City legend in the making...even now, I see him scorin the winner in the CL final in a couple of years..

Sky just said in News of the World today, Bellamy has handed in a transfer request but in the online edition of the paper, no such report. Bunch of trouble making tossers

I suppose "Bellamy can't play two full games in three days" just isn't spectacular enough for some people on here.

you're right, bellamy is made up of the best bits of robby and tevez. without robby's apparent 'laziness,' and tevez's panic!

the only problem is when he's firing on all cylinders in the back of your mind you know he's going to need resting soon.

its a shame he has to be handled with kid gloves because he would make an excellent captain.

So GDB are you saying that the Board are interfering in team selection. i.e. Robinho was in the team because the Board wanted him in ?

Could you imagine mancini accepting the board meddling in his selection policies?

mancini was singing robinho's praises before he'd seen him train so i think his reputation precedes him. and you can't join a club then leave a £32million player out. mancini realised he was ineffective and subbed him for bellers. (thank god) hughes would have been to stubborn or naive to change. at least both men got a run out. don't think the board had anything to do with it.

comes down to starting Robinho at home and Bellamy on the bench, and starting Bellamy away with Robinho on the bench.
