Crap towns

The east coast seems to feature prominently and I will add Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth if they haven't been mentioned already.

Telford, Shropshire - another soulless new town, probably felt worse because a lot of the Shropshire countryside is beautiful.

Ahh Telford, I have stayed there for Cosford airshow on a few occasions and can only say it is like a giant village of the damned. I suppose when you have found yourself stood on a hotel car park at midnight with a pool cue in your hand, watching the fire brigade do battle with a disgruntled Polish recently sacked kitchen workers revenge it may influence ones impression of a place. I was far from alone, a couple of bi plane pilots a couple of wing walkers, the gentlemen of the battle of Britain memorial flight amongst many others were all unimpressed by Telford.

As you say the Shropshire countryside is stunning, an almost still undiscovered paradise particularly in the spring so how on earth such a carbuncle has appeared in the midst of this splendour is a mystery that can never be explained.

I bet you've got scars now that look like you've been self harming mate; )

My back looks like I've been flailed by a cat o' 9 tails from sleeping with Bigfoot. She's awoken me from more snoring slumbers than I care to remember, with a sharp prod from her cuttlefish like toenails.

Hounslow is a hell hole if you ever have an inkling to base yourself there for a cheap option for a London weekender then please don't.

Lived there for 6 months when I was working in London. Was on Bath Road across the road from Hounslow West tube. Watched City a couple of times in the Earl Haig. Hounslow is indeed crap but the degree of crapness is determined by which end of Bath Road you're at. I was living with Indian chefs - was able to try healthy homecooked meals regularly and those lads love a drink

The world would always be nicer if we all lived with Indian chefs mate :)
