good shout

with the way pompey are atm we should but a punt in 4 him there probs sell him

That's a great suggestion mate, really rate Kranjcar, wasn't too long ago he was being tipped for Arsenal. Only thing is how intent on playing first team football he is because whoever we get in in the creative role will most likely be a squad player/to fill in when ireland's injured etc.

I quite like Trocowski at Hamburg, would be a great squad member .....

I think Özil at Bremen is better. The problem is if he will accept a rotation role. The same goes for any player if we want to bolster our central midfield. They must be good enough to replace Barry or Ireland but also be able to accept bench time. Perhaps Ndri Romaric from Sevilla could be that type of player. He has previously said he aims to play in the Premiership one day and is very versatile which should see him get more minutes.

its possible hughes will gamble on johnson getting his act together to act as our driving midfielder/ box to box man this season, he thought that kind of player was something we were missing in important games last year, instead of the creative midfielder

I personally think if alonso is so keen on leaving the dippers and they have named £30 mill as there price and real are reluctant to pay that why dont we get him it would greatly enhance our team as well as weakening a rival

Thats exactly why they wont sell, we've already nicked barry from under their noses and they dont want us being a bigger threat to them. Personally I dont think we need another creative midfielder, we've got ireland, elano, robinho, swp & johnson

I really think if Elano started this season (fat chance I know), his game would automatically be better as there would be less pressure for him to get involved defensively as the "tacklers" would be Barry and DeJong............thats assuming they both start of course.

I dont think Arteta/Kranjcar are any better than Elano (on his day of course), I really hope he stays and makes an impact this season.............with class players around him he'll look the part himself

well he certainly proves that when playing for brazil he is awesome and suprised that there hasnt been a lot more interest being shown in him he is undoubtebly a excellent footballer(elano)
