ok you lovely people I’m flying out there 16th May.
I know what I want to do but any hints and tips on nice towns to visit or bars around Stalida/Stalis greatly appreciated.

Great resort is Stalis. Rovers Return and the Red Lion are both fair to middling. Rovers return has a nice outdoor sea view terrace to chill with a scoop of Mythos. Some good bands playing on a regular basic, good for the football at the Lion.

If you want it more manic then trot down to Malia for the clubs and strip or take a left on the Malia beach road for the Pirate Beach bar, which is a few hundred yards to the right of the mini roundabout. Had some banging days there with a nice island to swim out to, caribean music vibes and nice long mixer drinks. You can walk to Malia in 30 minutes or take a regular bus.

We like Stalida though as it's more our age group, but Malia has it's moments. Some nice beach bars in Stalida where you can chill in comfort all day, our favourite was beachcomber. Bit pricier, but we got the sunbeds and tables for free.

Malia beach road has another Red Lion doing lush food and drinks with great vibes and well worth the visit (25 minute walk) and very well reviewed

The place below is a gem, head on the beach road Stalis toward hersonisis and at the end of the prom its sits in it's own secluded corner. Beautiful fish dishes and excellent service. A few mornings we even used it for breakfaxt as it was so nice. Staff are wonderful and prices very reasonable.

The clubs in Malia are special but dont really get going until midnight, dry ice, tub thumping and wicked dance with great atmos.

Your welcome pal, we went to Spoons this arfo so it it has only took me 17 edits : /
You'll enjoy Stalida and as Bimbo said Hersonisses has potential with lots of harbour restauraunts. Get the bus on the top road and not very far to travel.
