Am a little concerned about Root.

Looks like the effort of carrying the rest of the shite in this team is weighing him down.

With the ECB focus now on as short a form of the game as possible (T10 anyone?) I think we are seeing the final throes of 4/5 day cricket. I just don’t see it being played in 15 years time.

Saw that this morning, I thought the usual thing was if the last day was likely to be short ie less than one session it was normally free at Test matches.

I quite liked the approach they have taken to this screw-up, basically saying "we screwed up" and not trying to make excuses.
