I blame the ECB for this awful scheduling this season.
What should be the showpiece of the domestic summer is now treated like a booby prize.
The tournament deserve so much better.

As frustrating as it is you have to credit their attack. If we had defended that total after getting smashed about early on our bowlers would be singled out for praise so fair play ..... fucking scummers :)

Anyway not long till the hundred.....

There are only 5 T20 batsmen, Wells had a t20 average of under 13, he is the tail. Once we were 3 down I lumped on the Hawks.

At the start of the season we had 6 batters and it was enough most games. We don't have any bowlers who can bat a bit, and often struggle when chasing in the last 4 years. The semi win was a bit of a miracle, the final was fairly typical, both teams similar and desperate to bat first.

Said exactly the same at my local club today.
Salt, Jennings, Croft, Vilas and David are only hope, the rest are bang average.
Don't think David has performed well recently either.
Lamb is ok but definitely not a 7

When we won in in 2015 Jimmy Faulkener was 6 and a young lad from Barrow was 7 (Livi) and Lilley at 8 could bat a bit.

A bowling all rounder as an overseas player would probably be better next season.

How many more no balls did the Hampshire lad bowl unnoticed, as they only check when a wicket goes down. Umpires nowadays rely on technology and aren't always alert to the fact that the front foot may be over.

As long as we have someone else who can bat up the order though! We all knew we'd looked short with the bat since livi left and yesterday proved it.

Did you go? We had a top day out, slightly ruined by the last 20 mins or so

Lancs have made an official complaint to The ECB about the umpiring and the amount of no balls which were not called(apparently there were at least 3 occasions a no ball wasn't called)

Don't think it's going to overturn the result but it was very poor umpiring last night although Lancs are partly to blame as they had it in the bag and messed up big time

Lilley has opened for Leicestershire and is a useful 'hitter' at the top of the order. I'm sure he did it for Lancs as well. Like you said Corky, that wins you T20 competitions
Parky's a great bowler but is one place to high at 11! Gleeson doesn't fill me with any confidence, Hartley likewise, although I know he did it against Birmingham in the final round of games.

Off to watch the mighty Hyde in Cheshire County League finals day at Nantwich. Same format 4 teams. Fingers crossed.

Just looked at the score...

I'm hoping for an actual tight contest this match. One sided affairs from either side aren't that great of a watch.

Just read about that here.

Getting a bit Formula One in the worst possible sense for me. I.e results being disputed for hours and days after the event has finished.

I'm not a fan of results getting overturned after the event has finished and I agree a lot of the loss was down to Lancs bottling it.
