fucking typical crickets back ? the lock down and not a bit of rain for 3 months cricket is back rain rain rain and more rain

Can’t believe we didn’t bowl first with the weather and it getting better in few days where batting will be easier.

Slow going this though 10 overs for 12

This decision is looking stranger and stranger by the hour. Notwithstanding the argument on conditions (and everything was surely pointing to bowling first) surely after all this time without playing it would have been better to bowl? You can afford a bit of rust in your bowling action till you get up to speed but if you're batting and you're not quite right you're out and then the team is under pressure straight away.

I presume stokes thinks getting around 180/200 will be enough roll them out for the same and when batting again weather is better pitch is better?

Having batsmen unable to block a straight ball doesn't help. The one yesterday was a dreadful decision in the second over.

The bowling is good though, and Stokes is trying to get himself out. Good effort by the fielder.

West Indies bowling is very disciplined and good. They keep saying the pitch is similar to the one that we beat India on in 2018. That had 3 scores of 200-300 and one of 180, so it isn’t going to be a run fest.

It is slightly strange that we chose to bat given the conditions and us picking a specialist spinner, which would have suggested bowling last would have been better.
