Probably neither if it’s 16 degrees and overcast!Think the weather might be slightly better from day three on: Ambre Solaire or Deep Heat?

Parkinson was in the 13 that traveled to Nottinghamshire so was presumably omitted from the 11.Jack Leach called up for the next test the Indians must be bricking it. Is Parky injured? He's not in the Lancs team at Notts. I was just looking at the averages and noticed Malan has had just 1 innings in the CC this season, that's unreal. I know he was injured early season but 1 innings, how is he meant to get into nick for test cricket.
Strange to omit Parky from the 11, i have just watched the last session and its a flat track, could have done with him in Notts 2nd innings, especially with Mahmood unable to bowl.Parkinson was in the 13 that traveled to Nottinghamshire so was presumably omitted from the 11.

That’s a pity, as Wisden had an article advocating his inclusion this weekend.
To be fair to him, Malan notched 199 in that one match, though it was back in early June.
Got 4-1 writt all over it (obviously the 5th one being the one where England 'find' form).......I don’t disagree as there is no one knocking on the door to replace them. I get the sense that Hameed will get roughed up in Australia. He doesn’t have a great presence at the crease as of yet.
I’ve pretty much given up on the Ashes this year. We don’t have the batsmen, pace bowlers and a decent spinner. Anything other than a 5-0 loss will be a bonus.
They seem to have gone in thinking Wells and bit of Croft would suffice. As you say, a benign track.Strange to omit Parky from the 11, i have just watched the last session and its a flat track, could have done with him in Notts 2nd innings, especially with Mahmood unable to bowl.
The fifth Test is at Perth where England have only won once and that was in the 1970s, though this time it’ll be at the new Opus Stadium and not at the WACA. Maybe the change will benefit England and you’ll be right…Got 4-1 writt all over it (obviously the 5th one being the one where England 'find' form).......
Could have played him as an opener. Davies managed 0 runs of 13 balls in the game. They seem to have gone in thinking Wells and bit of Croft would suffice. As you say, a benign track.
Does that or does it not put him in consideration for a Test call up? ;-)Could have played him as an opener. Davies managed 0 runs of 13 balls in the game.
Yeah, Phil Salt is replacing him.Does that or does it not put him in consideration for a Test call up? ;-)
He’s off to Warwickshire at the season’s end if I recall.
