Jones was rubbish, so dread what you think of Buttler.Noooo I would stick with Jones not Buttler and given the lack of a good spinner I either side go with Root.

Poor man’s Peter Such with the willow!Only other option is to put the selectors hat on and picking a young Monty Panesar. He was pretty handy for Northants that season and entertaining with the bat for all the wrong reasons...
I thought about Labuschagne but Kattich was effective scoring quickly down the order with Gilchrist, I don't think you can have a lineup of Langer, Hayden, Ponting, Clarke, Smith, Labushagne, Gilchrist then into the bowlers.
My memory is probably failing me but I thought Katich was a scratchy unattractive player (think Chanderpaul but not as good) and the weakest of their top 6 in that series. But then again, Clarke was very raw at the time and Martyn was coming towards the end of his career.I can't drop Bret Lee, there was so much excitement and drama about him coming on to bowl and watching the speedo climb up towards 100.
I said earlier Jones was not a good keeper but based on his contribution in 2005 with the bat he edges Buttler.Jones was rubbish, so dread what you think of Buttler.
But that’s the line up Aussies would go with -3 pace and Warne, keeper and six batters.I thought about Labuschagne but Kattich was effective scoring quickly down the order with Gilchrist, I don't think you can have a lineup of Langer, Hayden, Ponting, Clarke, Smith, Labushagne, Gilchrist then into the bowlers.

The catch at the end? Pretty routine?Jones gets a pass for anything else he did keeping wise in that series just for Edgbaston.
229 runs. Probably similar to what Buttler will get in Oz.I said earlier Jones was not a good keeper but based on his contribution in 2005 with the bat he edges Buttler.
