Which just shows this "rebuild" is bollocks. Same batsman that failed time and time again and a spinner that just ties up an end instead of attacking the stumps. And for people suggesting Parkinson wasn't picked for his batting he has a higher batting average than Zak Crawley this season who still got picked which tells you everything.

This has always been my problem with ecb they more worried about a leggie going for loads of runs than them getting wickets!

Agreed, there was always a player that was carried so to say. I think McCullum wants Kiwi type clones that chase everything down, usually in pairs and are capable of scoring runs at test level. Nonsense in my opinion. Parky is capable of bowling a “diamond” delivery that’s too good for any batter.
