When you see the scorecard and Smith is there on 67*, hasn't broken sweat, and looks like there's no other outcome than a big century, it really drives home how good he is compared to every other player in this series. Unreal.

The thing is he's played plenty of fast bowlers bowling short in Australian cricket, just getting it up near his head isn't enough, it needs that big movement off the seam as well as the 90mph speed that Archer had at Lords.

Smith is to good. His average score against England must be close to 80.
I’d take a draw now. :(
We still haven’t realised that it’s pointless bowling anywhere near off and middle stump to Smith.
If we could prevent him from nudging singles and twos to the on-side, he may be more inclined to make an error in judgment.
A consistent fifth stump line on a good length could trouble him. Unfortunately none of our bowlers have been terribly patient in executing their plans to Smith.

Correct pity our bowlers have no Discipline.
When Australia bowl they will have plans and stick to them, its then our batsman who lack discipline to leave bowls.
Need it to rain or we get the rest of these batsman out for under 320

Head gone. Shame it wasn't Smith. Looks like we'll just have to concentrate on getting everyone else out rather than Smith ffs!

Joking aside, I agree. Smith, and to an extent Labuschagne, need to be dismissed for far lower scores
