problem is the next game (New Zealand v Afghanistan) is due to start so little margin on the additional time
 
Ouch. Fair play to Ireland they deserved that. An excellent performance with the bat and one they would have walked off disappointed with, having been all out and slowing their scoring in the end.

With the bat England were atrocious quite frankly. To only be 5 runs off the DLS score makes it look a lot closer than it was. Moeen, Livingstone and Curran could have got the job done but it was still a big ask - the top order just didn't get going.

We've basically got a straight fight to qualify with Australia on Friday now. We have to beat them, and then we have a bit of grace against NZ.

Big pressure on Jos!

I don't mind watching it but I also don't bother if my team loses. It's good that new teams are able to compete with the big boys now but there's so many things that can swing the result in a short game. DLS is a ridiculous way to decide games, always has been. I would make the game two innings of 10 overs each and the team ahead after the first innings wins if the game can't be completed, a draw if there's less than 20 overs in the game. It would level up those night games where conditions come into play as well.

I think it should be a draw if the game can not be completed or finish it the day after
 
Since when can you DRAW a T20 game?

Both teams know the score with DLS and it advantages the chasing team who know exactly where they need to be. The ECB and Strauss got what they deserved for getting priorities wrong.

Good prize money for Eire.

England did get what they deserved, nothing
but England will be in the semi-finals and eire will be watching

What do you mean by international mercenaries and toffs?

Most of this England cricket team went to secondary schools and were trained by county sides.

Liam Livingstone for example was born in Barrow and played club cricket for Nantwich before being offered a contract by Lancashire
