Ashwin - “I was just waiting for one of those airy fairy shots to go to hand”
Airy fairy shots? You’ve been pummeled to every part of the ground. Arrogant, self entitled twat

That’s a fantastic innings from Duckett, so far. I really hope he goes on to make it a big or double hundred. Interesting style, I can’t think of another test batsman who basically never lets a ball go by, has there been one?

Chris Tavarè.

Seriously though, this guy is batting at 6.77 an over. In a test match. In India.

It’s like they’re playing a completely different sport to anything we’ve ever seen before.

Former New Zealand fast bowler.

Aaaah Chris Martin. The worst batsmen I've ever played against haha. He was sub pro'ing for a local league side in a Sunday cup match Staffordshire in 2008 as their usual pro was injured. I was bowling when he came into bat at number 10. I had two plumb lbw shouts turned down, had him dropped in the slips 3rd ball, and bowled him 4th ball. He did get about 5 wickets though. Really nice bloke. He told me his highest ever score in any form of cricket was 25 (including junior cricket) and 16 of those were edges through the slips.

I’d take a 70 and a 5’fer now.

Yes, that would do. But about time he hit another ton, I'd say.
If Duckett can stay in and accompany him they could build something really extraordinary. But if they both get out early then I think this match is down the plughole.
Seventy from Root and a double century from Duckett, I'd bite your hand off right here, right now. Not asking for much, am I?
