Whether that's the correct decision is up for debate. I personally think there are days in test matches where you just have to dig in and go full Boycott but they don't see it that way as the risk/reward gives England a better chance of winning.
Over the last 3 years test cricket has been reinvigorated by the way England plays. You're going to have brilliant days but your also going to have very very bad days like this morning.
I said this when McCullum became coach.
It's definitely made us much more competitive but when you go to places like Indian or Australia i think they have to rein it in a little.
It's an interesting debate though
