Why not? Go on the match threads, and it's almost a prerequisite for posting on there!Don't be daft.
Bashir wants to say fuck off if you're picking me for the 4th and 5th tests, I'm out injured
The baby shouldn't be thrown out with the bathwater. There's been a lot of positives about the last 3 years, they just need to advance the ideas a lot more.
I think their biggest problem is PR/communication. Not just Stokes saying stupid things he has to apologise for later like the has beens comment, but treating the media and fans like they're the enemy and not the team's biggest supporters needs to change.
Time and time again they communicate poorly, get accused of arrogance because of the way they do it, and then 3/4 days later the full story emerges. Canberra day/night is a classic example. If they'd come out and said the climate is so different to Brisbane we don't think it's useful preparation, training at the Gabba will be better etc. then everyone would have understood even if they disagreed. Coming out and just saying "No." and "I've already answered that" when people ask about it is asking for people to brand you arrogant.
Rob Key should go, he's not improved anything, people seem to think there's no accountability in the team or ECB so if there's going to be a sacrificial goat it should be him.
Lastly they just need to break up the favourites clique. Pope has to go, he's had too many chances. I still think Crawley is worth keeping around because we have no one else, but give him a break and let someone else try and then bring him back if he's scoring well in county.
Brook just needs to grow up a bit, this series might do that.
The bowling situation is more fucked but the tactics they're using are so bad that it's hard to really judge.
Realistically can't drop Stokes because he's the best bowler and maybe 3rd best batsman so McCullum will have to leave, but I hope they replace him with someone who has a lot of the same ideas.
Stokes would join the 20/20 train and earn a fortune whilst having fun.Give Over.. The system has been built just for this Ashes tour. Beating the weaker teams is not progress
When we go on tour to places like India or Australia it's always the same old shit
Is it positive getting well beat by the Aussies? None of the 3 meaningful tests has been close
I think Stokes steps down and quit cricket after this
Lol we wont even win an inningsAny brave soul want to bet on us winning a single test in the series?
I suppose it's possible that we could (repeat, COULD) scrape a draw in this test. The last two wickets add 50 tomorrow morning (humour me!), leaving the Aussies just over 100 ahead shortly before lunch. 5 sessions to go; would they need to bat for 2 of them to get around 325-350 ahead, leaving the poms to bat out the final day?Lol we wont even win an innings
Sadly, we’re only at the end of day 2, despite what the BBC suggest.I suppose it's possible that we could (repeat, COULD) scrape a draw in this test. "Nurse; my tablets. QUICKLY!"

That’s what’s killing test cricket the most though and I’m not sure we can put the genie back in the bottle.Yep.. i don't blame anybody for doing it because I would do the same

I made a similar suggestion after the last test. The best will go where the money is though. It can be good again, if the test cricket breaks away from white ball cricket, then both have their own players and no crossover players or have an age limit to let test players leave for white ball cricket
Free-to-air channels should pump some money in with new ideas into the county league and test cricket
play country cricket at weekends from Friday to Monday, even have day-night games with a pink ball. Plus play most of the games in small grounds
Most of the Australians play in the IPL Big Bash etc, and they can still play test match cricket. That’s what’s killing test cricket the most though and I’m not sure we can put the genie back in the bottle.
True, but they’re still playing the last generation of players that were taught first class techniques as kids. Most of the Australians play in the IPL Big Bash etc, and they can still play test match cricket.
It will be interesting to see. Grade cricket is an interesting format as it's played over 2 Saturdays and 90 overs is the norm per day. You get points for a first innings lead and so often teams just bat once unless the wicket is poor. As long as they keep playing this and Shield cricket they should be OK.True, but they’re still playing the last generation of players that were taught first class techniques as kids.
It’s the next generation where hardly anyone will be able to build an innings or bowl 6 balls on a sixpence to set up batsmen.
