The scary thing is England took all their best spin bowlers to India and played all of them and we still got smashed.
England has always struggled in India and nobody said this tour would be any different. India are levels above England and they even rested their best player Kohli. But we must not forget we won the first test and all our hopes were high that maybe we could give them a run for their money, hahaha
Why do England batsmen struggle with spinners and the mental challenge?
Bazball does not work, Sitting in and defending does not work, Hoping our bowlers get you out of a hole does not work, Our coaching does not work, Something major is wrong in the whole setup from top to bottom.
If it was just playing overseas in places like in India then I would say go and play over there and learn the conditions. But it is not just India or overseas, it is playing spin bowlers everywhere and it's down to Bad technique and the coaching setup from an early age,
Getting rid of all the bowling machines would be the first option for me, The ball and the spin are not the problems, It's the bowler's arm and angle and the build-up that is the major problem, Then add the pressure cooker of mind games and other players getting in your head like the wicket-keeper chipping in with banter, I have never seen a bowling machine using banter and talk to get in the batsmen head.
One big thing we can all take from this tour is ? Nothing will ever change with England and our problems of spin
