Just looked at the Oval scorecard from 2019 and England had Root, Stokes, Bairstow, Woakes and Broad in their side and Australia had Warner, Labuschagne, Smith, Marsh, Cummins, and Hazlewood. There will be plenty of attention today on Broad, understandably, but the next two days are also likely to be the last time that many of these players experience Ashes cricket in England. In 2019, Ali, Anderson, Starc, and Lyon also played, probably others, too, so it’s going to be a completely different experience in 2027. I guess Root and Labuschagne might still be around for it.
 
Based on what, the fact that in this test he hasn't taken the wickets expected?
Pretty much so. An opening bowler, his figures from the last two or three years were shown on telly. I’m no expert, however and as I said just an opinion.
