The problem is, and it is a problem, is he gets out the same way nearly every innings after having made a decent start, he didn't need to play at that ball, and it wasn't the first to be played at this morning that could just be left alone, we don't need to score 5 an over today, bat sensibly we'll have it won before the rain turns up.Honestly he’s batted better and more consistently than Duckett across this whole series so far - though Duckett did score well at Lords.
That's the spirit!Been out all day, turned out, saw 94-3, laughed and turned off.
Losers.
Did he have his eyes shut as he played the shot?Crawley shut his eyes when the ball was near his bat then, seeing the replay of the out.
Need a good 90-120 from Root
well, the first one. We got a second new ball 70 overs early however….Why?!
We need 251 and he’s got 44 of them.
I wish he could convert these starts into big innings, but he’s doing his bit.
You guys keep getting worked up that Crawley gets 30-40 runs when that’s all we need from him. He’s stuck around for 20 overs, seen off the new ball, scored decent runs and now Root and Brook aren’t facing a new ball.
