Yes totally get that, but it would be very unusual for a any team to name their line up days before the opposition, although I understand they can choose to do so. Football an hour before kick off is the deadline and as you say in cricket prior to the toss taking place.
Just don1t understand the reason for announcing your line up days before the match, I suppose you could use it as a ploy but that`s just not cricket.

They’ve done it all series

Is it possible to watch any ENGLISH international cricket in this country, male or female, without the horrible irritating mel fucking jones? Her voice grates big time

Looking at how England women are batting it looks like the last ODI may well cost us the ashes. Fine margins -

26 off the last over for Australia, we lost by 3

Putting Glenn in before Cross at number 9

The silly English woman who missed a wide and an extra ball by telling the umpire she had gloved it - I am sure an Australian would have done the same thing! (not)

Edit - English batter woman person just run out by great throw from Australian sun fielder who’d been on the pitch less than an over - just a smile and no animosity from the English batter person, just like Ricky Ponting in 2005

Can someone explain why England have announced their team with 3 days to go before the test and Australia have not announced theirs. Surely as with all sports (i think) the teams should be announced at the same time.
The Aussie team picks itself to be fair:
