In different circumstances, no stupid declaration in the 1st test, and better weather at Old Trafford we would be 3-1 up, small margins.
Wasn’t the declaration why we lost it was dropped catches and not playing smart cricket same in the second test! 3rd and 4th we have been smart the weather been the problem! Aussies didn’t retain the ashes for me it was all down to us! We probably win the 5th test playing the better cricket again! Aussies for the first time I can remember have been out played in the last 4 test matches they’ve been shit scared played defensive cricket and that ain’t usual for Aussies! They have been jammy fcukers…

I am totally in favour of this brand of attacking cricket, but I still think he got that wrong. The proof is in the pudding, we got beat. If this Happens at The Gabba In 18 months time and benefits England I doubt many on here will be calling for reserve days.

We have to agree to disagree no one knows how many more runs we would of got Root could of hooked a shot straight down the throat of an Aussie next ball! Like me saying what if we got 2 quick wickets in that 30mins we would of probably won the game all ifs and buts! The way we know how this England team want to play now, there should be no thoughts on that declaration because in stokes thinking and this New England thinking this is how it’s is..

There never ever will be a reserve day and the Aussies in Australia it very rare a test match is rained off and why it feels so relentless over there especially when you lose the first 2 test..
